This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school district is currently 100% free and reduced-price lunch, and the majority of students are English Language Learners. This means that our students do not always have the same advantages as their peers in many other school districts, and they are learning a new language while trying to master state wide curriculum.
My students are extremely eager learners.
We work very hard to provide them with as many opportunities as possible. They enjoy working hard and trying new and innovated activities. They are motivated to learn everything they can.
My Project
Our school district has been doing virtual learning since August. We are continuing our virtual learning into the new year. Science has been one of the hardest areas for our students to engage in. They miss the hands on activities and experiments we would do in the classroom.
Generation Genius has engaging lessons, online experiments, and activities that students can complete at home.
This website will allow our students to have some of the same experiences at home as they do in the classroom. This will allow our students to be more engaged in our lessons and continue their loves for the sciences!
