My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students are creative, clever and very spontaneous.
They like to move, they love to read and love lots of positive attention. I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
We have students designing virtual environments in our engineering class and have seen how connected they are to their virtual creations. By using the VR headset system, we would have the ability to have the students experience what it is like to be immersed in the Co-Space's model they have created.
Virtual reality brings our students creations to life.
We have had them work on redesigning enclosures for animals at the Minnesota Zoo and look to have the students expand their engineering work into architecture. We know that our students need exposure to positive technology experiences.
