Virtual Reality-Bringing the World to our Classroom

Help me give my students a Virtual Reality Headset and protective case to learn about the world around us.

My Students

My students are amazing! Our school is located in a rural part of central California in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. We love our community and the natural resources we have in our area.

Many of my students come from middle to low-income families.

My students come to school every day excited to learn something new and ready to take on a new challenge. While our students have many obstacles in their lives, they persevere and succeed.

My Project

It seems like science fiction when I think about bringing Virtual Reality into our classroom, but with today's technology, it is becoming the wave of the future. This VR headset will allow us to visit places with a 3D experience we can only read about. My students have used the Google Cardboard glasses and have loved this experience.

This new and improved technology with Occulus Quest will allow them to have a more real-life experience with sound, as well as 3D.

I am excited to share this new technology with my students. I know they will love the experience while learning about new places and people.
