My Students

My class for this school year is a kindergarten through fourth grade, self-contained, special education class. My students are energetic, fun, and loving. Each day the students in my class face a multitude of challenges both in school with their learning, and outside of school in their home and personal lives.

My students overcome challenges day in and day out.

Coming from high poverty homes, many of my students have experienced significant trauma throughout their lives. By helping my class, you can help my students have the education that they need and deserve.

My Project

Given the current circumstances and school being moved to a virtual platform, my students need more supplies than ever in order to be able to learn from home. Help me give my incredibly deserving students the supplies that they need to access learning material from their homes.

With your support, my students will be able to stay learning and engaged during these trying times.

Through the use of the materials requested, my students will receive a package of hands-on supplies and manipulatives that will aid in their learning. Due to the diverse nature of learning in my classroom, having hands-on materials is essential for student growth and learning. These supplies will be distributed to students to assist in their learning of fractions (hand2mind Plastic Rainbow Fraction Tiles), counting money and budgeting (Melissa & Doug Play Money Set - Educational Toy With Paper Bills and Plastic Coins), being able to tune out background noise for a few students who have had trouble hearing on Zoom sessions and need headphones (Sony - WH-CH510 Wireless On-Ear Headphones and

Cyber Acoustics), slime to hold in their hands to help them stay focused on the computer screen (Glow in The Dark Slime), whiteboards for me to demonstrate on and for them to show their own work (PH346 Magnetic Write Wipe Board and Dry Erase Lapboard Classroom Kit, Set of 30 Whiteboards), and so much more. We need you to help us get the supplies to students that they so badly need during this pandemic. My students need you in order to continue learning from their homes.
