My Students
My students are energetic and enthusiastic 10 and 11 year olds who love to learn new things! They love reading, STEAM activities, and problem-based learning. I teach a 5th grade self-contained gifted and talented class in the Fort Mill Virtual Academy.
My students are motivated to do well in school and our families deeply value education and support the school.
Our students really love technology, especially using Chromebooks! We use Google Apps, Quizlet, Discovery Education Streaming, SpellingCity, and so many more! Students love to create and edit projects through technology.
My Project
My students will be able to see me model problems for them on the dry erase board easel and hear me clearly using the headset with microphone! They will also get a dry erase board and dry erase marker to work from home just like they would in class! My students are always more engaged with a dry erase board.
This will give them the feeling of still being in the classroom even though they are at home!
My families have chosen to be in my district's virtual academy for the year, but I want them to still have the feeling they would in the classroom. So I am asking for a headset with microphone so they can hear me clearly, a whiteboard easel to teach from, and a set of dry erase board and markers to send home with each student.
