Virtual Learning Read Aloud Create Community!

My Students

At the end of the year, I want my students to say, "This was the best year ever!" My students deserve the best education I can possibly provide them.

I desire to have a classroom that will allow my students to be risk-takers, believe they can be successful, and enjoy learning in an environment that feels like home!

My students come to me from all walks of life, but one thing is constant; their desire to learn! My students are excited to come to school each day and be a part of our classroom community. We work together as a team to build each other up and create an environment of learning, despite the hurdles we may have to overcome to be successful.

My Project

Read Aloud time is a sacred time of day in my virtual learning class. We gather together with our copies of our books and share in a time-honored tradition. While we can't gather together in our classroom, we can create the favorite time of day together virtually.

Read Aloud time creates an opportunity for us to bond over a book and create a sense of community even though we're working virtually.

We've already read two different books this year and we still talk about our novels and make connections to situations that happen in Reading or in our virtual classroom. I want to continue the love of reading we're cultivating this year.

Tuck Everlasting is one of my favorite books. I read it each year to my students and watch the movie as a closure to our book. I cannot wait to be able to share this with my virtual learning students, as well!
