My Students
Our school is full of so many eager to learn students. I work at a Title I school in New York City. My students are proving to be amazingly dedicated to their school work. They are so excited to be back in person and with so many pandemic rules in the classroom, we need a few things so they are not worried about it at all. I believe with your help they can achieve greatness this school year.
I have the great pleasure of having a very diverse population of students in my classroom, each very unique in learning style and academic capabilities.
New York City is home to a diverse culture and a wide range of socioeconomic statuses, which are seen throughout the city and in each one of the classrooms. We have a high percentage of students who receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My Project
This year has been one for the books! A lot of changes have been made and my students are working hard to adjust. Students are facing restricted face to face time with teachers and schools are constantly closing due to COVID cases. These lap desks will greatly benefit my students during their online learning. While at home my students do not have the adequate space conducive to learning. While I wish they could all have a desk and proper stand for iPads, these lap desks will allow them to rest their iPads on during instruction. The desk will allow a space where they can comfortably write in their notebooks.
