Help me give my students an incentive for participating in virtual learning.
I have been trying to motivate students to turn on their cameras and participate in the lessons. I'd like to mail weekly rewards to students.

My Students
I serve at a Title I school where 97% of the total student population is on free and reduced lunch. Currently, the school has less than 5% of the total population who are reading on grade level. This middle school services 7 housing projects in the city. Students struggle with reading comprehension, and our school has consistently the lowest-performing scores in the district.
My Project
Students are reluctant to turn on their cameras during virtual learning, so my teachers are often teaching to a blank screen. I thought it would be fun to offer incentives for students who were actively engaged in the lesson by turning on their cameras and answering questions. We can't force them to do this, but an incentive may be the answer! Who doesn't like rewards especially if it's being delivered through the USPS? I think this will encourage students to become active learners. They need all the motivation we can muster.
