Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is located in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood. The students must be in a lower income bracket to qualify for pre-k. Many of their parents are either from Hispanic countries or are first-generation Americans. It is in the classroom that my four and five year olds first develop their feelings about school, learning how it relates to them. They come in eager and ready to learn about the world around them. They love learning through play.
My Project
This has been a very challenging year for quite a few teachers and students. We have had to create lessons for our face to face students as well as our virtual students at the same time.
This gift certificate will enable me to purchase activities that will make learning fun.
Resources that include movement, chants and playdough are excellent ways to keep our little scholars interested.
Throughout this year I have gone to teacher pay teacher for resources to help me teach the objectives in a fun and interactive manner.
