Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a diverse range of students in a less traditional setting than what one imagines for public schools in Texas. My students are online learners who are looking for an educational structure that allows them to work at their own pace while still receiving the support they need to meet their diverse needs.
My Project
The brick wall backdrop will be used to block out any background distractions while I am teaching and engaging with students. Having the backdrop will ensure that my students have the best possible experience while learning from home.
I will use the noise canceling headphones to speak to students so that they are able to hear the lessons without the distractions of background noise like a doorbell ringing, garbage truck going up the street, or dogs barking outside; we all know that working from home come with a fair share of potential distractions.
I will use the Image Grammar book as an interactive and engaging way to teach the kids grammar. The LCD writing tablet will be used so that students can watch me demonstrate and model skills as I teach direct lessons. The Kleenex will be kept at my desk to use as needed to prevent distractions or disruptions that may arise if I have to step away to get a tissue.
