This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a Title I School that is located in a diverse, low socio-economic neighborhood in the Bay Area. I have 25 eager to learn kindergarten students this year. Kindergarten students are enthusiastic and excited to learn. My goal is to provide them with materials that foster a love of learning and a wide variety of skills and knowledge.

Kindergarten students love to explore, discover, and be creative and they need the proper equipment to support their learning.

I want my students to have the materials necessary to foster not only STEM learning but STEAM learning and to learn in ways they haven't experienced before.

My Project

Distance learning is already hard enough. Now imagine being four or five years old, never been to school, at home, sitting in front of an electronic device while a teacher you have never met is teaching you. It can be very challenging!

Many of my students do not have educational materials and school supplies at home; help my students start their educational careers by having the materials necessary to be successful at home.

Having basic supplies like colored construction paper, number flashcards, and math manipulatives for counting are absolutely necessary!
