This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are diverse and wonderful. I teach students that are part of a magnet gifted and talented program to students that are just learning English. Most of my students haven't had the opportunity to travel. Adding 360 scenes into my classroom makes history come alive. They can actually see the place they are learning about and it engages them to want to learn more!
My Project
My students love going on historical virtual field trips. We have traveled the Freedom Trail in Boston, the Mayan ruins, Machu Picchu and other historical locations. I would like my own 360 camera, so I can use my own video footage. I can narrate and get the exact shots and scenes we talk about in class.
Further, we live in Utah and there are very few 360 video footage available of historical sites in our own state.
Very few of my students have had the opportunity to actually see what our own state has to offer. Please help me bring this to them.
