My Students
Courageous, beautiful, inquisitive, sensitive, tough, complex, eager, confident, timid, challenging, fun; all of these words and so many more describe my students!
Over 3/4 of students in my district are military impacted.
They travel the world with their military parent, all the while being flexible, resilient, and all around awe-inspiring. Additionally, middle school is notoriously tough and yet my kids make me laugh every day.
They're awesome kids that are searching for personal connections and relevancy in an every changing world. My hope is that I can make a lasting impression on their lives through visual arts.
My Project
Many of my students struggle with making Fine Arts relevant to their lives. Budgets are tight and don't allow my students to visit all the museums around the world. However, technology allows us to explore any place with the touch of a button.
Google classroom can let my students explore Versailles together or watch a professional artist create, from the comfort of our classroom.
This gift will provide my students the chance to bridge the gap between technology and fine arts.
Additionally, these google cardboard kits will create another opportunity for cross-curricular learning and will afford other elective teachers in my school the chance to connect with our kids on a modern tech based level.
