My students are an energetic and lively group of children. They're all for trying new things in the classroom, especially when it comes to technology.
Most often, my students greet me in the morning ready to share new ideas for us to implement in the classroom.
Most recently my students wanted to find a way to give each other more compliments. So, we designed a system of currency and points called "Pay Each Other a Compliment". Whenever someone had a kind word to say, they earned play money and points.
My Project
By utilizing ASUS Zenpad tablets, my students will be able to take virtual field trips all over the world. Ancient civilizations such as Egypt and China are part of the students' curriculum.
Students will be able to travel to Egypt and virtually walk through the passages of the pyramids.
Or, travel to China to walk along the Great Wall of China. Of course, this will be accomplished by using the Zenpad tablets.
Following the field trips, the students will create a detailed report of their experience, to be posted on their classroom internet page to be viewed by their classmates.
