Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students of my school come from many different cultures, and each one of them has a personality of their own. I teach in a low-income, high poverty school district. One hundred percent of my students receive free lunches. We are a Title I middle school. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep them involved in our government system. I realize these are hard times, but at the end of our crisis, I can see two happy grades of 6th and 7th graders.
My Project
Google Expeditions Kit is needed for my classroom. With all the things going on this year and with schools turning to digital learning. I see the future of field trips in the virtual world. My students come from low-income families within a poverty town. We are a Title I school with 100% of the students on a free lunch. As we don't go on field trips because the students can't afford them. We try donations and fundraisers, but we are always coming up short.
The Google Expeditions Kit for 20-students will make field trips possible for my students.
We need field trips to brighten the minds of students. We need the Google Expedition Kits to let my students see what they are missing on a field trip. Please help us reach our GOAL.
Look I know I am asking for a project that is over $8,000, but in the end, my students will be pleased with it and every year after.
