My Students
The love of learning begins at a very early age! My classroom is full of very active little learners. Our children attend a Title I school that is located in an urban, high-poverty community, where 96% of the students are economically disadvantaged.
The majority of my students are either homeless or come from single-parent homes, which causes them to have limited access to everyday learning materials.
It is hurtful to say that so many of them have been through much more in their short 3-5 years than any of us could ever imagine. Even with that being said, they somehow find a way to come to school every day eager and ready to learn.
My Project
Distant learning is here! It is a known fact that education looks different these days due to COVID 19. This way of learning is very challenging for students, parents, and educators. My students were in total shock this semester as they moved about in fear because of the unique challenges of learning remotely.
By purchasing this laptop, it will bring great joy to 20 little busy bees.
As they stay connected to modern technology, share, and collect information they will stay emotionally connected to their peers and teacher. Many families had to find out that you can’t survive school without a decent laptop. Be it reading, investigating, or creating documents, this laptop will be used for various needs. It is a known fact that with the right laptop, smart computer habits, one will be ready to learn remotely and never miss a lesson.
