I need two monitor screens inorder to analyze student data, train teachers via zoom, attend professional developments, created professional development presentations and navigate through various reading data for all the students in the school.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from low economic backgrounds where their neighborhood is surrounded by negativity, crime, and violence. Somehow my students manage to come to school every day despite their current rural surroundings. My school is a safe haven for all the children in the community where they can come and feel safe and know that each person in the building loves each of them whole-heartily. The majority of my students are more than two grade levels behind and need additional material in order to build them up to their rightful grade level. We currently have about 50% of our students who reside in a homeless shelter nearby. Based on the current data, students require additional phonics practice to build them up to their current grade level.
My Project
Having two monitors will assist in my planning and preparation for reading teachers and my schools over all reading intervention for Tier 2 and Tier 3 students. During collaborative planning with teacher wether it be in-person or virtually, I will be able to access data and commute it into easy to read charts and graphs. I will be able to attend district professional developments that require me to analyze my schools reading data and create an possible/tentative plan of action. With two screens I will be able to better access data utilizing multiple screens and I will be able to make rapid changes and adjustments to strategic reading plans that are in place at my school site that will benefit the students who are reading two or more grade levels below grade level.
