My Project
After working for years as a special ed teacher, this is my first year as the Tech Studio teacher at my phenomenal elementary school. My goal is to enhance the classroom curriculum by teaching students how to use creative tools to make various forms of media.
This year, I plan to teach students in grades K-5 how to create, record, and edit videos and students in grades 4-5 how to create, record, and edit podcasts.
These headphones with microphones will enable all of my students to focus on their individual project and record some amazing pieces.
Kindergartners might make videos exploring their identity to support their All About Me unit. First graders might plan and record videos to generate buzz about a book they are reading. Second graders might do the same and edit those videos, too. Third graders might take the Fairy Tales they've written and animate them using these microphones to record voice overs. Fourth and fifth graders might plan, record, and edit podcasts to support their respective studies about the American Revolution and the First Amendment.
We can't wait to see how learning these skills unlocks the creativity inside of each and every student!
