This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have spent most of my summer moving out of my old room and cleaning out our new Strings classroom! Unfortunately, I have opened the cupboards, and they are looking quite bare of some basic student supplies. Some of these can add up to be a significant expense for our working families. Our program ranges from Beginners with no experience to seniors with eight years of experience performing in our different Orchestras. This grant helps ALL of them!
This DonorsChoose grant is specifically targeting our Strings students by providing them with fresh rosin, shoulder rests, soft polishing cloths, and rock stops to better utilize their instruments throughout the year.
