This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It's amazing to see students taking chances and making mistakes. When they jump in and solve problems they are also building their critical thinking skills. Research has proven a key component in this is leveraging erasable and reusable vertical surfaces so that students aren't afraid to make mistakes and have to start over on a new surface. That's where these large erasable whiteboards will come into play. When they plan their strategies or solve rich tasks in groups, they will be able to work collaboratively, make mistakes, erase, and share their work while embracing a productive struggle.
