I couldn't be more excited to be on the cutting edge of a new and highly motivating learning style for my students! Vertical learning is when students work in groups of three to collaboritvely solve problems of increasing levels. Students learn perseverance, patience, teamwork, and also to explain their math reasoning, all while addressing grade level standards in depth.
Having these whiteboards in our classroom will transform our learning space to create workstations where every student takes accountability for their learning, develops strength in their own math reasoning, as well as develops a deep mathematical understanding through collaborative work.
