My Project

The mathematics department in my building has taken on the task of getting kids up and moving in the math classroom. We have been following the book from Peter Liljedahl, Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics. This book has the students doing math tasks up around the room at whiteboards instead of sitting at a desk and just getting the information from the teacher. The whiteboards will be used in my new classroom, so that I can get the students involved in math in a different way. This allows for group work, problem solving and fun in math class.
