My Students
My students work extremely hard in the general education setting to advance and build skills that will continue with them into middle school and high school. We work very hard to build social skills and cover academic areas that they might struggle in along with building advocacy tools that they can use for a brighter future.
An autism diagnosis does not have to be a limitation for my students.
It can be, rather, an opportunity to emphasize the unique individuals that they are. Thank you for the opportunity to make their experience better!
My Project
These versa tiles will continue to enhance the engagement in the classroom that I strive to create. My classroom word and math work areas are places that my students really enjoy-engaging station work, they complete work around the room, and they work independently! Every student station work area that is placed around the room is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to do these activities. All of these versa tiles have been chosen with my students in mind. Students will be able to choose different activities, which will help them continue to enjoy independent work time.
With these versa tiles, my students will be able to choose from a variety of station work items, that will allow them to complete work independently at their own grade level.
They will also be able to choose activities that interest them. The best way to increase reading and math ability is to practice more, and these versa tiles will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading and math. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading and math, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the station work.
