Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The school bell rings and you can hear their excited voices as they head down the hall to our classroom. Some of them are excited to be there to learn, others are just excited to see their friends. Some love participating in class. Some don't. Some turn in their homework on time. Some don't. Some have support at home. Some don't.
But ALL of them deserve the opportunity to be amazing scholars!
I help them reach this goal by providing a caring classroom where they can question, explore, engage, and thrive through our discussions, experiences, and a good, healthy dose of laughter and fun,
My Project
Oh, I can already see all of the ways these will be used in our classroom! VersaTiles are a fun and effective way for students to practice math skills at their individual learning levels. This set will allow students to self-check and self-correct as they practice and improve skills taught during class.
The VersaTiles will be used in class during our studio time, in small groups, and during test preparation.
VersaTiles provide an opportunity for all students to be engaged with hands-on experiences that promote critical thinking and problem-solving. They also provide the opportunity for students to work independently while gaining confidence as they master new skills.
