My Students
I teach a class of high-energy kindergartners. They do their best learning hands-on, and they like to move a lot. My class has a wide range of abilities and home lives. They are happy to be at school and eager to learn.
We are a K-2 school with over 600 students and we have 10 kindergarten classes.
We are definitely a primary focused school with high standards for student learning. We believe all students can learn, and every staff member is committed to the success of each and every student. It is a wonderful place to teach and learn!
My Project
Students love to practice math using hands-on materials. VersaTiles provide a fun and educational way to practice math concepts while working independently or in a small group. With VersaTiles, students can check their own answers based on the pattern the VersaTiles make when they have completed the task. This makes for a fun way to check your answer!
Our classroom is in need of the kindergarten VersaTiles classroom math kit available from hand2mind.
The hands-on approach VersaTiles provides will allow my students to stay engaged and have fun during math time. The VersaTiles kit also allows for differentiation within my math groups. I hope to make these wonderful hands-on materials part of my math rotations very soon!
