This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am an educator in a low-income, Title I school with almost 500 children. This year will be my 15th year teaching. This year I will service 66 eager and ready scholars.
My students are excited about this school year and all of the fun activities that I have planned.
My goal this year is to make all of my students grow one grade level above where they are now. I want all of my students to be successful this year. I want them to excel.
My Project
We are requesting VersaTiles so that they may be used during workstation time. I introduced these to the kids before the Christmas Break and they seemed so interested. We currently do not have enough for very many kids to be able to use them. These would make such a huge improvement for our literacy class. They are self-checking and would allow my students to be able to get immediate feedback on their performance on different tasks. By having these, it would also allow for me to use a set during my small group instruction as well. Thank you in advance!
