My Students
My first grade classroom consists of 20 students with curious minds. The school is located in a neighborhood with a mixed economic status. All of my first grade students are compassionate, passionate learners who are excited for school.
First grader's minds are activated by the opportunity to learn with their hands.
When we get to use our hands to learn, we get to feel a part of our learning. So many students crave the opportunity to engage with their learning!
My Project
Students in our first grade classroom will use their versaTiles to help during stations. These allow students to begin to learn to work independently and in a small group setting. Currently, we are lacking resources that help us engage our brains without always using worksheets for our learning. Having opportunities to use versaTiles will help us grow as learners, both independently and within a larger group setting in our classroom.
