My Students

My students come from eleven counties all across the Southern Crescent Region of metro-Atlanta. As kindergartners, they come in with various background experiences and are always ready to actively learn and do!

We are Mavericks, facing the future with the goal of changing the world.

In my classroom, my students are able to engage with real-world issues to discover how to think and bring about change through specifically designed learning experiences. Our project-based learning model allows the students to learn through many hands-on activities (we learn best by doing!) and to apply their learning in real-world experiences. The best part about my position is that I am able to help students wonder about the world around them. As they dream, students will be able to actively create products that attempt to solve problems that they have identified.

My Project

Versa Tiles are perfect for small group and/or independent review. They can be differentiated by choosing activities for each student as needed for their development. I will use them in a teacher lead, small group situation until the students are ready to handle them independently.

Versa Tiles offer a self-checking answer system which gives the students more independence in their learning and proficiency.

The activities to be completed during their center time can be adjusted by choosing from the various activity books. Math and literacy are the foundations of learning and this is just another exciting way to reinforce them in kindergartners.
