Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, I am teaching a wonderful group of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. They are participating in our district's Independent Study program. My kiddos are self-starters and love learning.
I get to see my smiling scholars every day over Zoom for two hours.
We do multiple activities together and have a lot of fun. I have also been incorporating lessons on figurative language, financial literacy, and point of view. They have been learning so much!
Since we are not in a classroom, I would like for my students to receive a special gift bag during February. They will consist of Valentine-themed items. This will make my kiddos feel special and loved even though they are not person to person.
