it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
KIPP VCPCS utilizes a program called Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS) to promote positive behaviors inside and outside the classroom space at school. Students are recognized with virtual "VCPCS Bucks" whenever they are exhibiting positive behaviors, such as helping a teammate, going above and beyond on schoolwork, or simply winning a class competition.
Our VCPCS Store budget needs you to help fund the fun!
Our VCPCS Store is the most effective and popular incentive system the school has ever seen! Almost 40% of the Junior High students "purchase" from the store each week and the rest learn the valuable lesson of saving their hard-earned currency. Ask any JH student about the VCPCS Bucks, and they'll tell you how much they love the store!
The "store" works just like a regular store, but with prizes that our students love, like Legos, beauty items, and sports equipment. Our 8th graders "run" the store by gathering inventory ideas, store marketing, checkout processes, and billing. It's truly student-run.
This is the first fund of 3 that we will need to help us close out the year in an exciting way. We want to reward students in their successes!
