Varying Our Genre With Story Works Magazines

My students need Story Works magazine to give them access to multiple genres of above grade level texts. Story Works has plays, poems, captivating non fiction with amazing graphics and of course fiction.

My Students

My multi grade leveled classroom is for academically gifted elementary students who need exciting and challenging above level texts to help them grow and thrive. They are inquisitive, kind, and thrilled to see what challenges I have in store for them every day.

With them, learning is an adventure as it should be and I am blessed to get to work with them.

These first through fifth graders make me smile so I would love to return the favor with the surprise of new reading materials.

My Project

Story Works Magazine is an educational publication of Scholastic Magazines. We will be purchasing a higher grade level as my academically gifted child really need above level texts to keep growing their vocabulary and reading comprehension.

Story Works is great because it include multiple genres in each edition.

I particularly think the kids will really enjoy the vivid color graphics that you just can't get from a copy machine. From captivating non fiction to fun plays the kids can act out, I feel Story Works Magazine will make our classroom more engaging which is what every teacher strives to accomplish.
