This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Flexible seating and adjusted lighting in the classroom will help all of my students feel comfortable and allow movement when learning. In the past year I have noticed the bright lighting in the room affects some of my students. Providing dim lighting and a calm effect by the blue colors of the materials I have chosen will help sooth children and lessen the strain and discomfort in their eyes. I have also chosen some wobble stools to provide flexible seating for the children who need more movement while learning. I currently have two small size wobble stool and the kiddos love them but are too small for the 4th and 5th grade children, although they still make it work! Lastly, the carpet would fit perfectly in the "Safe Space " area to provide comfort but can be used for learning as well. These materials will provide more flexibility and allow them to stay engaged!
