This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have requested a plethora of books I feel students will enjoy when reading in a small book club setting. The more technology advances, the less likely my 5th graders are to want to read an actual paper-back book. If students have a variety of book choice options, they are more likely to want to read.

This project will fund a couple of different small group book sets.

I find the best way to push classroom reading is through the excitement and joy in reading with others. The best way to support them is by providing a variety of books for each book club group to choose from. Student choice is the key to building students joy of reading.

In order for the dream of creating an environment where all students enjoy reading, we must create an environment where variation of literature is readily available to students. Please help me to build my classroom library in order to support each and every child who enters my classroom.
