This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During literacy centers, my kindergarteners have an option to read leveled fiction or non fiction books. However, my bilingual students do not have any books in their language. I am still building my library and currently only have a few books in Spanish. With this donation, I will be able to read more books in Spanish, instead of always pulling them from YouTube. My students will also have a variety of fiction and non-fiction books during literacy centers. This donation will also offer intervention resources when I do guided reading with my bilingual students.
