My Project
My reading intervention students, from grades kindergarten through second grade, are eager and excited to learn. I am constantly trying to find new ways to engage them and show them how important reading is and how it is all around us.
This project will help integrate technology into my reading classroom, and allow the students to experience how technology can enhance our learning.
With the LCD writing tablet, my students will be able to work on writing sentences in a fun and colorful way. The tablet keyboard goes with a previous Donorschoose grant, but since they didn't have the tablet in stock, I ended up getting a different tablet. As a result, I returned the keyboard, pen, case, etc. We are going to use the Cricut vinyl with my Cricut machine to cut out words and images to decorate our classroom whiteboards with the Secret Stories.
I am planning on having the students use the transparent sticky notes and stickers to create "sticker stories" that they will then use to help write their stories. The floating displays will be for my students to display their rocks that they decorated and created stories about.
