The iPad engages students and I can even hand the device to my students, allowing for a more immediate, hands-on experience. In addition, the iPad serves as a useful way to keep track of simple administrative tasks, such as taking attendance, and recording student participation.
I teach in an early childhood school in Flushing, New York.
My students are first graders who are learning English as a Second Language. They are a diverse group of children who are eager to learn and who love using the SMARTboard and computers as an aide to increase vocabulary and language skills.
My Project
I can utilize this iPad3 along with the SMARTboard in order to help promote language development. In addition, the iPad will serve as a visual aide to my students with limited English proficiency. I am hoping to engage them and provide hands-on learning. Research has shown that technology plays a vital role in helping English language learners succeed.
I am hoping that with your donations, I can utilize technology to promote language development and provide my students with many different opportunities and learning styles.
I would like an iPad3 to help create interactive projects for student learning and engaging my students in the learning process. I am also hoping that the students in my classroom will use the iPad hand-in-hand with our SMARTboard.
