Using the 1619 Project for African American History Class

My Project
In a few weeks, I will start teaching African American history class. This is a half year elective course that mostly consists of juniors and seniors. This class is really important for my students as all of my students are either African American and/or Hispanic. It is important that these students are able to learn their history and see themselves in the book.
The 1619 Project is an excellent source for students to study.
In this project, I am requesting five copies of the original book, one copy of the child's picture book, and one copy of the visual experience. In combination, these books will be used in my class for assignments and they will also be available on my shelves for students to read at any time.
