My students need an iPod nano and docking station in our gymnasium to complete our fitness test, called Fitnessgram.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Fisher's classroom raised $377

You have the opportunity to use technology to improve the fitness levels of our students! I teach Physical Education in a high-need, Title I public elementary school, grades K-5.
Our state and district are mandating that each student in grades 3-5 take a fitness test in September and again in May to track our growth. The fitness test is called Fitnessgram, and I use it in conjunction with our new Physical Education curriculum, SPARK (Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation for Kids). The test is run through a CD using cadences, and I don't have a sound system in my gym.
An ipod and dock would be a fabulous, 21st century way to help my students take their fitness test successfully. They would also improve our school and community morale by using it for school dances, theater/plays, warm-up music in PE class, and staff meetings - to name a few.
According to the state of Texas' fitness results in 2008-09, Fit kids are Smart kids! Your help will ensure my students and me to have a successful and challenging year of growing fit together!
