My students need headphones and the mobile organizer. During small group instruction students have the opportunity to use multiple personalized learning platforms that require the use of headphones and worksheet organization.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students live in Deep East Oakland and come from diverse ethnic backgrounds. They come from working class families and are eligible for free-reduced lunch. Students often walk to school or use public transportation.
Our school's mission is to raise young scholars who are well prepared to pursue a university education and to take their place as responsible, caring citizens.
We work to ensure our students ELL, new comers, refugees, and students with special needs, all have the opportunity to experience a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment.
My Project
Fifth grade is such an important year as students prepare for middle school. In an ideal classroom all students would enter their final year in elementary school at grade level, unfortunately, that is not always the case. One way to ensure students succeed is small group instruction. Through small group instruction and support on personalized learning platforms such as MyOn reading, FrontRow, and Khan Academy, the different needs of all students are met.
When students needs are met, we can expect them to grow in their academics and self-confidence.
