My students need one digital video camera and accompanying memory card.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Wang's classroom raised $406
This project is fully funded
Our school is the first high-need public school in New York City to offer the rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program to all its students. In tenth grade, all students complete a Personal Project of their own choosing that encapsulates all they have learned in the IB Middle Years Program.
In our technology classes, students are challenged to create digital shorts that address a social issue of their own choosing. Some groups will produce live action documentaries, public service announcements or stop action animation.
The students are always excited by the opportunity to affect change amongst their peers. They just need the equipment to help make it happen! While this project helps them fulfill requirements for their IB certificate (a program proven to enhance critical thinking skills essential to success in college), it also empowers them to become agents of change in their communities.
With your help, not only will you be placing technology into the hands of my students, but you will also be providing my students with the power to improve the world as they see it.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
