My Students

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. (~Arthur C. Clarke~) Everyone wants to be wowed. Everyone wants to be intrigued. A Smart Board can help do that in a classroom!

My students are hands-on learners.

My students love technology. Some of the children in my class have technology readily available to them at home. Other students in my class do not. Whichever situation my students are in, I want them to have technology available to them when they walk in the door of my classroom. It is important that they learn to navigate technology and use it for their educational growth, personal growth, and advancement.

My Project

A Smart Board feels like magic, not only to the students who will have a highly interactive learning experience, but also to the teacher who can prepare an innovative lesson and turn the learning over to the students. Lessons can be saved and reflected on later, reviewed, printed for display, shared with other teachers, sent home with students who were absent, and more. Even a simple word making lesson becomes exciting when at the touch of a finger the letters begin to move, a balloon concealing a clue or answer pops when you tap it. It is intriguing when a virtual drop of water travels through the water cycle at your touch and guidance.

In a world that seems to be driven more and more by technology, I want to provide my students with a running start.

I want to bring the magic of learning alive through technology. A Smart Board is an amazing piece of technology that will be used daily by everyone in the class now and in years to come for educational enhancement.
