My Project
My students thoroughly enjoy learning science by "playing" with hands-on activities so I try and provide as many as possible in my classroom.
My students are a highly inquisitive and motivated group of 9th and 12th-grade Science students.
We are a comprehensive public charter high school located in Southern California. They are always motivated by real-world applications of what we are learning, and I try as best I can to provide them with the opportunities to learn from hands-on activities.
My Project
The solar panel system will allow my students to explore how well these systems work when used to charge off-grid power systems. I would like to be able to offer my students the opportunity to explore this concept with hands-on activities and envision student-designed experiments be completed with this system.
In this age of natural catastrophes, the question of how well off-grid systems actually work often comes up when we are discussing how off-grid power systems work and this would be a real-world tool used to explore the concept in depth.
