This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten class is a group of wonderful, diverse students who are eager and excited to learn. Of my 16 students, six are language learners and have greatly benefited with hands-on activities to help them learn. We spend our mornings working on letter/sound recognition and use a great deal of music and fun activities to help us learn.

My kindergarteners are part of an underserved community and I would love to be able to provide them with as many opportunities as I can to help them learn, improve and advance in their education.

My Project

Being able to have a projector in the classroom will help me teach my kindergarteners the technological skills they will need throughout their academic careers. Having a projector in the classroom in order for my students to be able to view what is on my computer will help them see the material that I want them to learn. Helping them with letter/sound and number recognition through entertaining videos will help the information stick that much more!

Many of my students have never been exposed to technology but will be required to effectively complete assessments through technological devices.

Having a projector in the classroom will get my students one step closer to effectively utilizing and learning through technology.
