This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are second graders from a high poverty school. My students are very inquisitive and love science, math, reading and hands-on and fast-paced projects; however, funds are limited.

I want to give my students access to iPads so that they can document their learning.

Students will be able to film, and create on the iPads and then present their creations to their fellow students as a method of showing what they have leaned. Using iPads in class can be very beneficial for students who might not normally have a voice.

My Project

I would like to use these iPads to help my students demonstrate what they have learned. 2nd graders can be very shy, using an iPad for them to document their learning, allows them to learn publishing tools, but also become more confident.

Students will use iPads to video and create videos documenting their learning, this helps them become more confident in showing what they have learned.

Students will be able to use the iPads to create videos, it could be a video of them talking or a video where they narrate an image that they have created. Using an iPad for documentation can be beneficial for a variety of students. It also allows us to share videos with parents as well.
