My Students

My third grade students are eager to learn. They are curious, creative, and have great imaginations even though we are a Title I school in a high poverty neighborhood.

Our school is a Title I school and most of my students live in public housing which is why I need your help to help them thrive over this virtual time.

Their neighborhoods are rough and school is a place for them to be safe. My class is mostly African American children who face a lot of challenges.

My job, as a teacher, is to help them overcome these challenges and become the amazing adults I know they can become.

My Project

This year due to Covid we will be learning virtually at least until February. I am asking for a a Google pixel computer so that I can put together interactive lessons using google slides, near pod, flip grid and so much more. Our school is using google meet and all assignments are being done through google classroom which is why I picked the Google pixel computer.

This Google pixel computer would help me teach my students virtually as it would be used to create interactive lessons and presentations for them.

I plan on combining the curriculum and teaching them the computer skills they will need to be successful.

Once we are able to go back to school this computer will be put at a learning station and students will be using it for many projects. In class it will be used for research, for putting together group presentations using technology. As we improve in our combined knowledge of technology I would love to see my students create an interactive web page. Hopefully soon we will be back in person until then I need your help to make sure all my students succeed. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
