My Students

I am a fourth grade teacher in Utah who believes learning is important and who loves teaching. My students are very eager to learn. I believe it is important to allow students to be creative in their learning, so they will enjoy it more.

Curious, creative, knowledge seekers describe my students.

I feel having a variety of reading materials and resources is important. My students have different backgrounds and learning styles. Because of this, they need varying styles of learning. For this reason, I am always looking to add additional learning and teaching methods.

My Project

These resources will help me enrich the learning in our classroom. We do a lot of sharing and discussions in our class and the Qball throwable microphone will allow all students to hear, as well as make it more engaging. This will help with their speaking and listening skills. The science posters and math manipulatives will help reinforce concepts we learn. The academic clever catch balls would be great for an engaging review of academic concepts. The copy paper will be used for handouts and pages for interactive notebooks.

In a world of infinite possibilities, students need to be curious.

My project is important because it will fuel their curiosity and help them learn. With these Informational books for science, technology, engineering and math, students can read and learn about everyday STEM projects, careers, and the Earth. These books would allow me to integrate STEM into my reading groups or use them individually. The sound phones will help students with their fluency skills by allowing them to listen to themselves read.

These resources would benefit my current students and students in years to come.
