My Project
Many of the items requested are basic school supplies. While our school is a technological school, we still use many things like highlighters, colored pencils, colored paper, tape, staples, etc. I try to print certain assignments on colored paper, so students can easily find it in their binders. We also use interactive notebooks, and we create projects. With many of these supplies, we will also need ways to store some of them in our classroom. Our building does not have any counters or cabinets, so teachers needed to purchase their own storage devices for school supplies.
Because so many students don't have the necessary school supplies, it takes away from their learning.
The students become so focused on having to share so few supplies with their classmates, that the assignment takes twice as long to complete. With your help, students will be able to shift their focus to the projects and assignments because they won't worry about needing supplies.
