My Students
I teach 5th grade at a Title I school that is located in South Louisiana. We are in a high poverty area and are in desperate need of ink for our printer and my copier that I bought for my class.
My students appreciate every thing they receive because our area is a high poverty area.
All of my parents want their children to succeed. My students love using our classroom computers and to print out their classwork. I am desperately in need of ink and toner to facilitate this need.
My Project
My students will be able to print their work all year with this supply of ink and toner. They love to display their hard work and are so proud when we can do this! Using computers and being able to print their work stimulates their interest in learning and makes their work tangible for them.
This project is critical for me to be able to provide ink and toner for them for this whole school year.
My students have dreams of college and understand that an education is their way to success. I strive to build relationships with their parents so they know that I will mentor their children throughout their lives, not just in 5th grade. I love my students and it is important to me that they succeed in life.
