This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher of a third grade classroom in a inner city school, my students receive free breakfast and lunches daily. With the new school year starting, I have had the pleasure of meeting some of my new students along with their parents. While many parents of my future students would love to help their child with school supplies unfortunately they are unable to. With our schools budget and the amount of money I make it is very difficult to supply my students with the proper supplies in order to be successful.

I want to give my students every opportunity to be successful, I have built a project with items I am in need of; white boards, expo markers for math and literacy to help them work through problems and ideas; pencils, crayons and markers to allow them to write and be creative.
