My Students
Technology is a great way to reach reluctant learners. There is something about using a "cool" tool that really excites students who normally tune out class. I am hoping for these high tech materials so my classes can post video clips on the web and do some podcasting.
My students love to read and be creative.
The speakers and flip camera will allow students to stretch their imaginations. Students can share their poems, skits, and plays with the entire web by uploading it online. I already have an iPod for podcasting but I don't have speakers. With the speakers, students could listen and improve their podcasts.
My Project
During this school year, students will be working on a co-curriculum (social studies and language arts) on ancient Rome. I have several different extension projects that students can choose from. Two ways students can share their work is to record it by video or broadcast it with audio. Students are excited to think of all the possible projects they could do.
Students can really benefit from using technology.
Since this technology is so new and costly, many students have not used this technology before. This is a great opportunity for students to learn and explore. Please consider helping us!
